Press Release Summary: Making the right choices before jumping headlong into an
online/internet business can mean the difference between abject failure and

Which one to choose . which product . is it legitimate or just some money-making
scheme .does it have longevity . who are the owners/founders . which sponsor to join

The list goes on.
And when a person is new to the world of internet business, it is safe to add a good
measure of fear to the confusion making it even more difficult to know what to do.

After the research is done and the company is chosen, the next most important
decision is which sponsor to join.
Here is where it gets interesting.

Most companies have some members who have been ultra successful and who fall into
the category of Guru. A Guru is someone who, very likely has been in online and/or
offline business previously. Their 'over-night' success has been some time in the
making and has come as the result of much trial and error.

It is this apparent 'over-night' success that appeals to so many people. It can be
hard to resist a claim like, "I made $10,000 in my first month" especially when it
appears on a flashy website along with an offer to divulge all those secret
marketing techniques. Who could resist?

Consider this .

A successful online business is built on effective marketing. Effective marketing
techniques take time to learn and implement. It is not as 'easy' or 'simple' as the
Gurus would have you believe. You cannot just snap your fingers and expect to know
it all.

"But the Guru said they would personally teach me
everything they know!"

Many Gurus bring in hundreds of people each and every month and it is unlikely that
they will have time to provide any personal attention or one-on-one support. So odds
are that you will never be in direct contact with this person. It has been my
experience that some of these Guru-type folks simply direct you to a training
website they have created and that the instructions on these websites are often
incomplete and have links that do not work. Some help that is!

Most people need hands-on help to learn how to advertise their new business and help
to learn what they need to do to be successful.

Enter the Responsible Sponsor.

The Responsible Sponsor is someone who .

- Is Available! Test your potential sponsor. Does she/he answer the phone, return
your calls and respond to your emails?

- Offers marketing support and has her/his own marketing support system that is
available for you to use.

- Keeps on top of marketing trends and isn't reluctant to share their tips and tricks

- May or may not already have had some success with the business. In fact, even
brand new people can be responsible sponsors!

- You like and see yourself working with for a long time.

When you are just starting and are brand new to online business, your sponsor's
availability and support will be crucial for your success.
If you are someone who has failed in online business in the past and has had
first-hand experience with absentee sponsors . well, you know what I am talking
about.

Sure, there are Guru-type sponsors out there who are good. Some have managed to keep
a lower profile and are genuinely helpful. More importantly, be careful not to
ignore or discount a sponsor solely based on their level of earnings. You should be
far more concerned about their sincerity, availability, and desire for success for
themselves and you!

The selection of a sponsor should not be taken lightly. This is a decision that can
lead to your failure or to your success with your new business. Be sure you are
choosing the person who is right for you.
